Bethel College Launches New Applied Politics Major

Bethel College announces the creation of the applied politics major, a unique program for students who want to pursue a career in politics. The program will offer students multiple opportunities to dialog with elected officials, work in election campaigns, serve with advocacy organizations and build lifelong professional networks.

Bethel Launches Career Services Center for Adult Students

Bethel College announces the launch of a career services office designed specifically to meet the needs of adult students. Development of the office is one of several initiatives resulting from the $900,000 Lilly Grant received by Bethel in November 2013.

Bethel Launches First Biotechnology Certificate Program in Northern Indiana

In response to the increasing demands of Indiana’s bioscience industry for a skilled workforce, Bethel College announces the creation of the first biotechnology certificate program in Northern Indiana, made possible by a grant from the Lilly Foundation. The program, which can be completed in three semesters and includes an internship, is designed to prepare students for employment in industrial, medical, college and research laboratories.

Bethel College Announces Dean’s List

Bethel College announces the 2014 spring semester Dean’s List. Eligibility for the Dean’s List requires a 3.50 GPA with 12 or more semester hours.

Visker Begins Tenure as Athletic Director for Bethel College Pilots

Tom Visker, Ph.D., recently began his tenure as athletic director for the Bethel College Pilots, transitioning from his previous role as professor of kinesiology and dean of humanities and education.

Bethel Participates in Indiana’s Private College Week

Bethel Hosts Herald Vision Conference for Chin Refugees

Bethel College recently hosted nearly 550 Chin Burmese youth and young adults for the Herald Vision Conference of the Chin Baptist Church USA. This was the first conference of its kind to be held in the United States. Attendees were primarily refugees who came to America to escape religious persecution in the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar (formerly Burma).

Community Health Worker Training at Bethel College

Community members have the opportunity to become a certified community health worker (CHW) by attending a three-day training at Bethel College, Sept. 22-24. The deadline to apply is Sept. 1.

Tickets on Sale Now for "The 39 Steps"

The Bethel College theatre department presents “The 39 Steps,” adapted by Patrick Barlow, from the novel by John Buchan, from the movie of Alfred Hitchcock. Performances will be on Thursday, Oct. 2 and Friday, Oct. 3 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 4 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.
