2015-16 Theatre Season Announced

Award-Winning Professor Showcases Ceramic Exhibit

Bethel College Associate Professor Suzanne Mauro will debut a new ceramic installation, “The Keeper of Bones”, in the Weaver Art Gallery. Opening night is Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. The gallery will feature Mauro’s art from Sept. 4 to Dec. 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., but will be closed on Sundays and over Thanksgiving break.

Bethel College Ranked No. 16 on Washington Monthly's “Best Bang for the Buck Colleges”

Washington Monthly has ranked Bethel College No. 16 of 403 in the Midwest on their 2015 list of the “Best Bang for the Buck Colleges.” This exclusive list rates colleges that are doing the best job of helping non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices. Ninety-seven percent of Bethel students receive some sort of financial assistance. The list looks at which schools are the best value for the money based on net price, student retention and graduation rates, and whether students go on to earn at least enough to pay off their loans.

Bethel College Music Degrees Reaccredited

The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) has granted a renewal of membership to Bethel College for seven years, reaccrediting the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (General, General/Choral, General/Choral/Instrumental, Instrumental) and Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. Bethel College is one of a select number of colleges and universities that has earned full accreditation and reaccreditation by the NASM – first in 2007.

Greco begins as Director of Corporate Relations

Lisa Greco, Ph.D., has been named Director of Corporate Relations for Bethel College. This newly created position is an outgrowth of Bethel’s Center for Customized Training (funded by a Lilly Grant), which has exceeded expectations.

Bethel College named as a College of Distinction, fifth year in a row

Bethel College is one of eight Indiana colleges to be selected as a 2015 College of Distinction, and one of 58 schools in the nation to be named a Christian College of Distinction. This honor is given to colleges and universities that excel in the Four Distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.

David Armstrong Named Vice President for Business Services

David Armstrong, Ed.D., has been named vice president for business services at Bethel College. He most recently served as vice president of finance and operations at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga., and will begin at Bethel on Aug. 3.

Redgina Hill Named as Director of Diversity & Inclusion

Bethel College has named Redgina Hill as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion. Bethel has grown to 21.4 percent students of color, and this newly created position is designed to deepen the college’s efforts in developing and promoting diversity among students, faculty and staff.
