Bethel Introduces Programs for Sports Ministry and Children's Ministry

Bethel now has study opportunities in the areas of sports ministry and children’s ministry. Both are tracks available in the newly redesigned Christian Ministries major, which has been retooled to offer students more options in high-demand ministry areas.

Bethel Hosts Michiana Spring College Fair

Bethel College will host the Michiana Spring College Fair on Thursday, March 10, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. More than 50 colleges/universities and organizations are expected to attend.

New Financial Services Major Available in the Fall

Bethel announces the new Financial Services Professional major, to begin in the fall of 2016. The program was created in response to the projected job growth in financial planning careers, expected to have a 27 percent increase by 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The degree will prepare students for jobs in areas such as tax planning, credit analysis and financial planning.

Tickets on Sale for Spring Musical, "Mary Poppins"

The Bethel College Theatre Department presents its annual spring musical, “Mary Poppins,” based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film. Performances are Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

Second Session Offered for Hospitality and Tourism Training Program

Due to the success of the first SMART Hospitality and Tourism training program, a second session is being offered. It will begin on Feb. 22 and run through March 4 with classes at the WorkOne office on Marietta Street in South Bend.

Internationally Acclaimed Deaf Performing Artist to Offer Workshop at Bethel College

Peter S. Cook, an internationally reputed Deaf performing artist, will present an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting workshop, “Personal Experience in ASL Discourse,” at Bethel College on March 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bethel Community Mourns Loss of Music Professor, Long-Time Choir Director

Bethel College Associate Professor of Music Bob Ham passed away Fri., Feb. 12, in Mishawaka after a battle with cancer. He was 61 years old.

Bethel College hosts career and internship fair with 100 local employers attending

The Bethel College Career Services Office is hosting a career and internship fair on Wednesday, March 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on Bethel’s campus. Representatives from 100 employers will be on hand to talk about available jobs and internships.

Bethel College Celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The Bethel College Office of Diversity & Inclusion invited students, faculty and staff to celebrate the life and impact of Martin Luther King Jr. with activities that included a chapel service presented by the Billy Kirk Scholars and viewings and discussion of the movie “Selma.”
