Spring 2015 Dean’s List

Here is a list of students who made the Dean's List for the 2015 Spring semester. We are proud of the accomplishments of these individuals who study and work hard to improve themselves and reach their goals.

Greco begins as Director of Corporate Relations

Lisa Greco, Ph.D., has been named Director of Corporate Relations for Bethel College. This newly created position is an outgrowth of Bethel’s Center for Customized Training (funded by a Lilly Grant), which has exceeded expectations.

Bethel College named as a College of Distinction, fifth year in a row

Bethel College is one of eight Indiana colleges to be selected as a 2015 College of Distinction, and one of 58 schools in the nation to be named a Christian College of Distinction. This honor is given to colleges and universities that excel in the Four Distinctions: engaged students, great teaching, vibrant communities and successful outcomes.

David Armstrong Named Vice President for Business Services

David Armstrong, Ed.D., has been named vice president for business services at Bethel College. He most recently served as vice president of finance and operations at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga., and will begin at Bethel on Aug. 3.

Redgina Hill Named as Director of Diversity & Inclusion

Bethel College has named Redgina Hill as the Director of Diversity & Inclusion. Bethel has grown to 21.4 percent students of color, and this newly created position is designed to deepen the college’s efforts in developing and promoting diversity among students, faculty and staff.

Bethel Hosts Summer of Service Youth Volunteers

Bethel College will host area junior high and high school students as part of the annual Summer of Service (SOS) student weekend from June 18 to 21. More than 600 students and adult volunteers from 31 local churches will participate in the four-day, three-night, service-oriented event. Volunteers will stay in Bethel’s residence halls and, between service projects, will gather in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center for worship, teaching, prayer, group discussion and devotions.

Bethel Summer Camps Encourage Kids to Explore Art and Academics

Bethel will offer its annual academic camps, which provide campers from ages 9-14 with the opportunity to explore their interests with college professors, instructors and leaders who channel their knowledge into a fun, hands-on college learning experience. Make new friends and explore with us!

Bethel partners with Hubbard Hill Retirement Community to provide nurse aide training program

Bethel College’s Center for Customized Training is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hubbard Hill Estates Retirement Community to provide certified nurse aide (CNA) training. The program was recently approved by the Indiana State Health Department and classes will begin June 1.

Commencement Set for May 2

This year, 476 students plan to participate in Bethel College’s two commencement ceremonies, which will be held Saturday, May 2, in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on the college campus. Commencement for adult programs, organizational management, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) completion and graduate programs will take place at 10 a.m. Traditional undergraduate and Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) commencement will be held at 5 p.m.

Summer Institute for Teachers

Bethel College will offer the Summer Institute for Teachers on June 15, 16 and 17 in the Miller-Moore Academic Center, Room AC 342. Those participating in the three-day learning experience can earn up to 18 professional growth points (PGPs) or three graduate credits.
