Bethel College 2017 Commencement Speakers

Bethel College is pleased to announce three featured speakers for its 70th annual commencement exercises. Editorial cartoonist Gary Varvel, local entrepreneur Don Clark, and 1949 graduate Virginia Krake will speak at both commencement ceremonies, which will take place in the Wiekamp Athletic Center, Saturday, April 29. The 10 a.m. commencement includes adult programs, organizational management, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion and graduate programs. The 5 p.m. commencement includes all traditional undergraduate programs and Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Hoosier Tire Partners with Bethel for Annual Golf Outing

Bethel Athletics is proud to announce that Hoosier Tire will be the naming sponsor of the 2017 Hoosier Tire Bethel Athletics Golf Outing. This summer marks the 25th annual outing that helps support the efforts of the Bethel Athletic Department.

Bethel College Seeks Public Comments for 2017 HLC Accreditation

Bethel College is seeking comments from the public about the college, in preparation for its 10-year re-evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission. Accreditation is a voluntary, peer review process that evaluates an institution’s ability to meet educational standards. Bethel College has been accredited by the Commission since 1971.

Bethel College Music Department Presents Voices of Triumph in Concert

The Bethel College Music Department presents Voices of Triumph in their annual presentation of a cappella choral music for chamber choir. The concert will be on Friday, April 28, 8 p.m. at Evangel Heights United Methodist Church, 114 N. Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Ind. Admission is free.

Bethel College Music Department Presents Spring Choral Showcase

The Bethel College Music Department presents its Spring Choral Showcase featuring the Concert Choir and Voices of Triumph. The concert is on Friday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.

Bethel College Art Faculty Featured at Elkhart ArtWalk

Three Bethel College Art Department faculty will be featured at the Elkhart ArtWalk on April 12. Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Art Michael May, Adjunct Professor of 2D Design & Digital Photography Jeffrey Combs and Adjunct Professor of Ceramics Kari Black will have their work showcased at the event.

Bethel College Celebrates Naming of Softball Field

Bethel College will celebrate the naming of the Therese and John Gardner Softball Field on Friday, March 31 at 2:45 p.m. The recently constructed softball stadium is located on the corner of Liberty Drive and West LaSalle Avenue on Bethel’s campus.

State Representatives Honor Bethel's 70th Anniversary

On March 21, Indiana State Representatives Tim Wesco (R-Osceola) and Dale DeVon (R-Granger) honored Bethel College with a resolution recognizing its 70th anniversary.

Book Signing for “The Self-Aware Leader”

The Bethel College Campus Store is hosting a book signing for “The Self-Aware Leader,” written by Terry Linhart, Ph.D., Bethel College professor of Christian ministries and chair of the Department of Religion & Philosophy. The signing will be on Thursday, March 30 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Campus Store.
