Bethel Summer Camps Encourage Kids to Explore Art and Academics

Bethel will offer its annual academic camps, which provide campers from ages 9-14 with the opportunity to explore their interests with college professors, instructors and leaders who channel their knowledge into a fun, hands-on college learning experience. Make new friends and explore with us!

Bethel partners with Hubbard Hill Retirement Community to provide nurse aide training program

Bethel College’s Center for Customized Training is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hubbard Hill Estates Retirement Community to provide certified nurse aide (CNA) training. The program was recently approved by the Indiana State Health Department and classes will begin June 1.

Commencement Set for May 2

This year, 476 students plan to participate in Bethel College’s two commencement ceremonies, which will be held Saturday, May 2, in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on the college campus. Commencement for adult programs, organizational management, Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) completion and graduate programs will take place at 10 a.m. Traditional undergraduate and Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) commencement will be held at 5 p.m.

Summer Institute for Teachers

Bethel College will offer the Summer Institute for Teachers on June 15, 16 and 17 in the Miller-Moore Academic Center, Room AC 342. Those participating in the three-day learning experience can earn up to 18 professional growth points (PGPs) or three graduate credits.

Leadership Expert Bobb Biehl to Speak at Commencement

Bethel College is pleased to announce Bobb Biehl, president of Masterplanning Group International, as the 2015 commencement speaker. He attended Bethel College from 1960-63, and graduated from Michigan State University (psychology major) in 1964. He also received a Master’s Degree (counseling) from Michigan State in 1966.

Walorski to Host Jobs Fair at Bethel College

Congresswoman Jackie Walorski will host a jobs fair at Bethel College on Wednesday, April 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fair will be held in the Wiekamp Athletic Center and will offer 1,000 jobs from more than 50 employers.

Governor Invites Chenoweth to Bill Signing

Bethel College President Gregg Chenoweth, Ph.D., was invited by Indiana Governor Mike Pence to attend the March 26 signing of Senate Bill 101, the religious freedom restoration act. Earlier in the month, Chenoweth testified to the Indiana Senate Judiciary Committee regarding the legislation.

Bethel Hosts McDonald’s® Michiana High School All-Star Basketball Games

The fourth annual McDonald's® Michiana High School All-Star Basketball Games will be held Monday, March 30, at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind. McDonald's Restaurants of Northern Indiana and Bethel College Athletics are teaming up again this year to bring this family event showcasing local high school talent in the northern Indiana and southwest Michigan area.

Students Prepare for Spring Phonathon

On March 24, more than 30 students will reach out to Bethel alumni as part of the college’s spring Phonathon, which runs through April 18.

Special Education Degrees Now Offered at Bethel College

Bethel College is expanding its education degree offerings with a new minor and a new graduate degree in special education. The minor is available now to undergraduate students and the master’s degree could begin as soon as this summer.
