HCM Records Hosts Master Class with Award-Winning Producer and Songwriter

HCM Records will host an exclusive Christian Songwriting Master Class with Billy Smiley on Saturday, Aug. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bethel College. Smiley, one of Christian music’s most successful songwriters and producers, will collaborate with participants and help them take their songwriting skills to the next level.

Bethel academic camps encourage kids to explore

Bethel College will offer its annual academic camps, which provide campers from ages 9-14 with the opportunity to explore their interests with college professors, instructors and leaders who channel their knowledge into a fun, hands-on college learning experience.

Bethel Opens Satellite Location for Ministry Programs in St. Joseph, Michigan

Adults interested in a ministry degree from Bethel College now have a new option for taking classes in St. Joseph, Mich. The satellite location will serve adult students pursuing an associates or bachelor’s degree in Bible and Ministry, as well as graduate students working towards a Master of Arts in Ministry or Master of Arts in Theological Studies.

Bethel Creates Spanish-Assisted Degree - First of Its Kind in the U.S.

Last week, Bethel College began a Hispanic Initiative, offering bilingual adults a new option for obtaining a college degree. The Spanish-assisted business degree is the first of its kind in the United States and is geared towards Hispanic adults who have the ability to earn a college degree, but have stayed out of the classroom due to language barriers.

Bethel College Board of Trustees Renews Contract of President Gregg Chenoweth

The Bethel College Governing Board of Trustees acted unanimously in their decision to give seventh Bethel president, Gregg Chenoweth, Ph.D., a contract extension through 2021.

Bethel College presents, “Barefoot in the Park”

The Bethel College Theatre Department presents, “Barefoot in the Park,” by Neil Simon, nominated for a 1964 Tony Award for Best Play. Performances are Friday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, May 28 at 1 p.m., in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

Bethel College Hosts Summer Institute for Teachers

Registration is open for the Summer Institute for Teachers, hosted annually by Bethel College. The institute will be held June 20-22 and those participating can earn up to 18 professional growth points (PGPs) or three graduate credits.

Ribbon Cutting for Bethel College Innovation Space

Bethel College will have a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Bethel Innovation Gateway (BIG), a room on campus designed to encourage problem-solving and spur creativity. The ceremony will take place at on Tuesday, May 3 at 11:30 a.m., in Room 433 of the Miller-Moore Academic Center.

Bethel College 1966 and 2016 Graduates Hold Groundbreaking for Class Gift

Bethel College’s graduating class raised money to create a prayer garden on campus. The 50-year reunion class of 1966 joined in the fundraising efforts to make this a combined gift from both classes, a tradition for Bethel alumni. A groundbreaking for the prayer garden will take place outdoors near the Sailor Residential Center on Saturday, April 30 at 3:30 p.m., as part of Bethel’s graduation weekend.
