President Cramer Named Business Person of the Year

Bethel College President Steven R. Cramer (’75) was recently named “Business Person of the Year” during the Mishawaka Business Association’s (MBA) annual meeting and awards dinner last month.

Bethel Participates in Michiana Spring College Fair

Bethel College will be partnering with Twenty-First Century Scholars, Twenty-First Century Community Learning Center, Indiana University South Bend, and JAG Indiana to host the Michiana Spring College Fair on Tuesday, March 12 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Student Activities Center at Indiana University South Bend.

Middle and high school students will become “CEO” for the day in a friendly competition known as the TCU/JA Titan Challenge on Friday, March 8 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bethel College in Goodman Gymnasium, located inside the Wiekamp Athletic Center.

Bethel to Host Career Fair for High School Students Involved in STEM

Bethel College will host a career fair for 100 to 150 11th graders from Penn-Harris-Madison School (PHM) and other area schools on March 7, from 9 – 11:30 a.m. in the Middleton Hall of Science Building.

Bethel to Host "Life of the Mind" Colloquia Lecture Series

Bethel College and the BUILD (Bethel Undergraduate Intellectual Leadership Development) honors program is hosting a two-evening lecture series exploring the “Life of the Mind” on Feb. 27 and 28 beginning at 8 p.m. Mark Noll will speak the first evening in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center — Auditorium, and Kyle Notch will be speaking the second evening in the Middleton Hall of Science — Octorium. The series is based on the intellectual and spiritual aspects of the mind and what it means to love the Lord with your mind based on Matthew 22:37.

Bethel to Host MBA Informational Night

Bethel’s graduate programs will host a free information night about the Master in Business Administration degree on Monday, February 18, from 6-7 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Rotunda.

Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo to Tour in Midwest

The Bethel College Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo will perform their annual February Jazz Tour starting in Fairborn, Ohio, on Friday, Feb. 22, at 7 p.m. at Rona Community Church. The tour will continue in Mooresville, Ind., on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. and then Sunday morning Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Grace Mooresville Missionary. The tour will end at the First Missionary Church in Berne, Ind., on Sunday, Feb. 24, at 6 p.m.

Bethel Community Mourns Loss of Vice President

Bethel’s Vice President for Life Calling and Student Enrichment Kathy Gribbin, Ph.D., passed away Feb. 6 at Hospice in South Bend after a three-year battle with cancer. She was 59 years old.

Professor To Speak on Poverty

Bethel’s business department will be hosting a lecture on poverty given by Larry Mead, Ph.D., on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Middleton Hall of Science – Octorium.
