Bethel College will host a community blood drive December 6 from 10:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Goodman Gymnasium.

Bethel College will host its second annual 2.5K Fun Run and 5K Pilgrim Prance on Saturday, Nov. 17 starting at 8 a.m. Participants are asked to check-in in front of Goodman Gymnasium 20 minutes before their scheduled race. The 2.5K Fun Run is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., the men’s 5K at 8:45 a.m., and the women’s 5K at 9:30 a.m.

Bethel College Associate Professor of Communication Elizabeth McLaughlin, Ph.D., recently collaborated on a book project called “Interfaith Dialogue in Practice: Christian, Muslim, Jew.” The project was recently released by Rockhurst University Press. Contributors include various communication professors across the states along with McLaughlin.

Curator of Education and Outreach at South Bend Museum of Art Jessi Lentych Loyd will showcase her artwork entitled, “Lions, Robots & Union Guys,” with an opening reception on Friday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Weaver Art Gallery located inside the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center.

The Bethel College music department will present this year’s Christmas concert, “Nothing is Impossible!” on Friday, Nov. 30 at 7:30 p.m. and also on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

The Bethel College Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo and Percussion Ensemble will present their annual fall Jazz and Percussion Night on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

The Bethel College Concert Band, under the direction of Professor of Music Mike Kendall, Ph.D., will perform its free fall concert on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

Bethel College’s auxiliary services invites the community to participate in blessing the newly expanded bookstore and coffeehouse located on campus on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012,from 4-6 p.m.

The Bethel College Chamber Orchestra will present a free concert to the community on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center. The orchestra will be conducted by Associate Professor of Music Vicky Tan Warkentien, D.M.M.
