Bethel Community Offers Helping Hands in Michiana

Bethel College students, faculty and staff will serve together throughout Michiana during a campus-wide service day on Tuesday, Oct. 7. The day will start at 8:30 a.m. in the Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center, where individuals will divide into their work groups and leave campus to volunteer at various local organizations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Free Seminar - How to Plan a Winning Youth Conference

Bethel College is proud to present a free workshop for church youth leaders on how to plan a successful youth conference. The workshop, which includes a free lunch, will take place on Monday, Sept. 22 at 11 a.m.

Munroe Named Vice President for Institutional Advancement

Rick Munroe, CFRE, has been named vice president for institutional advancement at Bethel College. He most recently served in the same role at Thomas University in Thomasville, Ga., and will begin at Bethel on Sept. 15.

Bethel Recognized as a Top Tier College for 11th Consecutive Year

Bethel remained 19th on the list of the Midwest’s Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the 2015 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News Media Group. In addition to the college’s overall ranking, Bethel is positioned highly in several important specific sections, including seventh for freshman to sophomore retention, eighth in the percentage of freshmen in the top 25 percent of their high school class, 12th for percentage of classes under 20 students and 12th for graduation rate.

Bethel to Participate in College GO! Week

Bethel College will participate in the state’s annual College GO! Week Sept. 22-26. During College GO! Week, every high school in Indiana is asked to prepare their students for college and careers through a variety of events and activities. Specifically, College GO! Week aims to have high school seniors apply to a college, juniors attend college fairs, sophomores take the PSAT and freshmen complete a graduation plan.

Community Health Worker Training at Bethel College

Community members have the opportunity to become a certified community health worker (CHW) by attending a three-day training at Bethel College, Sept. 22-24. The deadline to apply is Sept. 1.

Bethel Launches Innovative Career and Calling Milestones Program

Bethel announces the launch of the career and calling milestones program, designed to equip students to find meaningful employment in their chosen field before they graduate from college. The unique program will centralize and build upon the variety of career preparation resources currently available at Bethel, integrating them into the college culture and giving each student a consistent experience.

Bethel to Host Free College Fair

Bethel College will host more than 30 Christian colleges for the annual South Bend/Mishawaka Christian College Fair on Monday, Sept. 29 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. High school, junior high, junior college students and parents are encouraged to attend.

Bethel Celebrates GREAT Employees

On July 21 Bethel recognized several faculty and staff who have done an exemplary job in living out the GREATer priorities. They included Alex Daniel, Jessie Lacay, Sandra Lesko, Ryne Lightfoot, Chad Meister, Tony Natali and the entire physical plant staff.

Bethel Hosts Herald Vision Conference for Chin Refugees

Bethel College recently hosted nearly 550 Chin Burmese youth and young adults for the Herald Vision Conference of the Chin Baptist Church USA. This was the first conference of its kind to be held in the United States. Attendees were primarily refugees who came to America to escape religious persecution in the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar (formerly Burma).
