The Bethel College career services office is hosting a career and internship fair on Tuesday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wiekamp Athletic Center. The fair is open to all Bethel students and alumni as well to students from Indiana Careers Consortium (INCC) schools.
Representatives from 55 companies and organizations will be on hand to talk about available jobs and internships. According to Sherry Weldy, director of career development, students and alumni from all academic majors are encouraged to attend.
“You should dress like you would for an interview and come with at least 10 copies of your resume to give to employers,” says Weldy.
Although freshmen and sophomores might assume the fair is not for them, Weldy says they should plan to attend. “This is a great opportunity for freshmen and sophomores to connect with employers, learn about internship opportunities and begin to see what employers are looking for,” she says.
More advice on preparing for the fair can be found on the career services Facebook page and Pinterest account— Facebook.com/BethelCollegeCareers and Pinterest.com/BethelCareers. A full list of employers who will be represented at the fair can be found on their Pinterest career fair board.
