Clark Kellogg, vice president of player relations for the Indiana Pacers and lead college basketball analyst for CBS Sports, will speak at Bethel College on Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in Room 342 of the Miller-Moore Academic Center. Kellogg will share about achieving his dreams and walking in God’s plan. The event, which is planned in celebration of Black History Month, is free and open to the public.
Kellogg played basketball for The Ohio State University from 1979 to 1982 and was a first-round draft pick for the Indiana Pacers in 1982, where he played for five seasons before retiring due to chronic knee problems.
Bethel’s Black Student Fellowship (BSF) is sponsoring Kellogg’s appearance. “We hope students will see that it is possible to achieve your dreams no matter how big they are, especially when you are walking God’s plan for your life,” says junior Justine Allen, president of BSF.
BSF has two additional upcoming events that are free and open to the public. A social injustice panel discussion will be held on Feb. 25 at 7 p.m., with location to be determined. The second annual Gospel Fest, a concert featuring various gospel choirs, will take place on April 5 at 3 p.m. at College Park Missionary Church in Mishawaka, Ind. For more information about any of these events contact Allen at BSF@BethelCollege.edu.
