Friday there was (unofficially) a race for all athletes not competing on Saturday. Freshman Trisha Miller rallied the Lady Pilots by leading with a time of 19:00, with Junior Irene Kangi Kirathi close behind with her season best of 19:17, placing both women in the top 15 for standings as NCCAA All-Americans. Miller finished in third place (within seven seconds of first) at the Midwest Classic.
