Exchange 2010 e-mail and mobile devices
Below are options to receive your Bethel e-mail on your Mobile device if one of the following is supported by your device.
- OWA
- Use your mobile web browser

VPN is only available for Faculty and Staff
VPN for Windows 7 & Windows Vista
To set up VPN for the first time:
- Right click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
- Click on Opening Network and Sharing Center
- Click on Set up a new connection or network
- Connect to a workplace
- Click Next
- Double Click on Use my Internet connection
- Type in: vpn.bethelcollege.edu
- Click Next
- Type: Bethel VPN
- Click Next
- Enter Bethel Username and Password
- Click Connect then click close
- Close the other open windows
- Left Click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
- Should show your status as connected
- To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
- Enter your computer name (given to you by computer service)
- Enter your Bethel Username and Password
To disconnect from VPN session
- To disconnect from VPN Left Click on the Internet Access
- Click disconnect
To reconnect for future times:
- To connect again Right click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
- Click on connect
- Enter your Bethel Username and Password
- Should connect you
- To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
- Enter your computer name (given to you by computer service)
- Enter your Bethel Username and Password
VPN for Windows XP
To set up VPN for the first time:
- Click on Start
- On the right side of the Start Menu look for and click on Control Panel
- Double Click on Network Connections
- Click "Create a new connection", located on the left side under Network Tasks
- Once a box pops up, click Next
- Select "Connect to the network at my workplace" and then click Next
- Select " Virtual Private Network Connection" and then click Next
- Type in the Company Name field "Bethel College VPN" and then click Next
- If the option comes up "Do not dial the initial connection", make sure it is selected
- For the Host Name or IP address field type in: vpn.bethelcollege.edu and then click Next
- If the option comes up select the "My use only" and click next
- If you have the option "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop", select it.
- At this point click you should either click Finish and if that is not an options click Next and then Finish
- Now a box should have poped up to enter in your Bethel Username and Password
- Click Connect
- To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
- Enter your computer name (given to you by computer services)
- Enter Bethel Username and Password
- To disconnect right click on the connection icon by the time
Click on disconnect
To disconnect from VPN session
- To disconnect from VPN Left Click on the Internet Access
- Click disconnect

- To connect again Right click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
- Click on connect
- Enter your Bethel Username and Password
- Should connect you
