Below are options to receive your Bethel e-mail on your Mobile device if one of the following is supported by your device.

1. OWA
   • Use your mobile web browser
   • https://mail.bethelcollege.edu
   • Requires authentication: username and password
2. Active Sync
   • https://mail.bethelcollege.edu/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync
   • Requires authentication: username and password
3. IMAP4
   • Email server: mail.bethelcollege.edu
   • Port: 993
   • Authentication: SSL
   • Requires authentication: username and password
4. POP3
   • Email server: mail.bethelcollege.edu
   • Port: 995
   • Authentication: SSL
   • Requires authentication: username and password
5. SMTP
   • Email server: mail.bethelcollege.edu
   • Port: 587
   • Authentication: TLS
   • Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication: username and password

To set up VPN for the first time:

1. Right click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
2. Click on Opening Network and Sharing Center
3. Click on Set up a new connection or network
4. Connect to a workplace
5. Click Next
6. Double Click on Use my Internet connection
7. Type in: vpn.bethelcollege.edu
8. Click Next
9. Type: Bethel VPN
10. Click Next
11. Enter Bethel Username and Password
12. Click Connect then click close
13. Close the other open windows
14. Left Click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
15. Should show your status as connected
16. To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
17. Enter your computer name (given to you by computer service)
18. Enter your Bethel Username and Password

To disconnect from VPN session

1. To disconnect from VPN Left Click on the Internet Access
2. Click disconnect

To reconnect for future times:

1. To connect again Right click on Internet Access in the bottom right corner by the time
2. Click on connect
3. Enter your Bethel Username and Password
4. Should connect you
5. To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
6. Enter your computer name (given to you by computer service)
7. Enter your Bethel Username and Password

To set up VPN for the first time:

1. Click on Start
2. On the right side of the Start Menu look for and click on Control Panel
3. Double Click on Network Connections
4. Click "Create a new connection", located on the left side under Network Tasks
5. Once a box pops up, click Next
6. Select "Connect to the network at my workplace" and then click Next
7. Select " Virtual Private Network Connection" and then click Next
8. Type in the Company Name field "Bethel College VPN" and then click Next
9. If the option comes up "Do not dial the initial connection", make sure it is selected
10. For the Host Name or IP address field type in: vpn.bethelcollege.edu and then click Next
11. If the option comes up select the "My use only" and click next
12. If you have the option "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop", select it.
13. At this point click you should either click Finish and if that is not an options click Next and then Finish
14. Now a box should have poped up to enter in your Bethel Username and Password
15. Click Connect
16. To connect to your computer on campus, Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection
17. Enter your computer name (given to you by computer services)
18. Enter Bethel Username and Password
19. To disconnect right click on the connection icon by the time
    Click on disconnect

To disconnect from VPN session

1. To disconnect from VPN Left Click on the Internet Access
2. Click disconnect

3. Enter your Bethel Username and Password
