7:30 p.m. - Theatre Production: Diary of Anne Frank

7:30 p.m. - Live Music: performance by Von Strantz

  • Location: Sufficient Grounds Coffee Shop and Campus Store
  • Admission is free
  • Von Strantz is an American folk soul band created in the summer of 2012 by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and musical arranger Jess Strantz. Strantz is accompanied by her favorite musicians. Together they create beautiful and brilliant music that will leave you wanting more. Saturday, Nov. 9

11 a.m. - Dedication of the Weldy Presidential Suite

  • Location: main floor of the Huffman Administration Building
  • A portion of the Huffman Administration Building was renovated over the summer, including a complete reconstruction of the president's office, conference room and office space for administrative support. The Weldy Presidential Suite will be dedicated in honor of Walter L. Weldy, interim president of Bethel College from 1988-'89.

 

11:30 a.m. - Dedication of the Katherine J. Gribbin Learning Commons

  • Location: lower level of the Academic Center
  • Bethel's main computer lab was transformed into the Katherine J. Gribbin Learning Commons, named in honor of former vice president and 1976 graduate of Bethel College, Kathy Gribbin, who passed away earlier this year. The Learning Commons is designed for both collaborative and individual study, and provides space for students working with laptops and tablets.

  • Location: Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium
  • Featuring guest speaker John Fuller, vice president of Focus on the Family's Audio and New Media division. He hosts the national "Weekend Magazine" broadcast and co-hosts the daily "Focus on the Family" radio program.
