Clery Act
Compilation of information disclosed in accordance with the Clery Act is the responsibility of the Director of Campus Safety. The Campus Safety Department will gather data from records maintained by that department, other College departments and offices, as well as from records from local, county and state police agencies, if reasonably available. Crime reports are classified following FBI Uniform Crime Report guidelines.
College Safety Officers record all reports of criminal activity investigated by the department. The most commonly reported crime at Bethel is larceny (theft). Frequently, thefts are from unlocked rooms and offices, or the theft is of property left unattended in a common area.
