June Bays, MSW, LCSW
June has worked at the counseling center since 1995. June began her career as a registered nurse. After raising her two sons she returned to school to earn her master’s degree in social work. June has spent the last 20 years working as a therapist in a variety of settings. She specializes in working with anxiety, depression and childhood abuse disorders. She and her husband, a chemistry professor at St. Mary’s, have been involved in leadership positions with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship and the ALPHA program. They have two grown sons and four grandchildren.
Stan Blom, Ph.D., HSPP
Dr. Blom graduated from Calvin College with a B.A. in psychology. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees from Wayne State University. He is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides individual therapy, treatment focused on relationship skills development and psychological testing for students. He specializes in the evaluation and treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and adjustment disorders. He also provides professional supervision for therapists at the Wellness Center. In addition, he maintains a private practice locally and consults at a community mental health center in Chicago.
Mary Fulton, RN, BSN
Mary graduated from Memorial Hospital of South Bend School of Nursing as a RN and Bethel with a BSN degree. Mary has worked in a variety of professional settings including hospitals, physician’s offices, camps, schools, and home health. Mary is also a certified CPR instructor and has two children.
Debby serves as the office manager at the Wellness Center. She and her husband, a Bethel graduate, enjoy spending time with their three adult children (all Bethel graduates) and three grandchildren.
Cynthia King-Harris, MS, LMHC, LSW
Cynthia is a 1984 Bethel College graduate. After completing her master’s degree in counseling from Indiana University, she held several positions in the community before joining the counseling center in 1997. Cynthia periodically teaches courses at Bethel College in addition to serving as the Director of the Community Service Office. Cynthia has specialized in the areas of pre-martial counseling, personal growth and conflict resolution. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their adult son and two grandchildren.
Ryan graduated from Colorado State University with a M.S. in human development & family studies specializing in marriage & family therapy. He has worked several years with children and adolescents in a variety of roles. He joined the Wellness Center staff in the fall of 2006. Ryan teaches courses in the adult studies program at Bethel College in addition to serving as the head cross country coach and an assistant track coach.
