50th Anniversary Pilot Profiles - Larry Vanderheyden
Bethel College Basketball will be profiling athletes from the past leading up to a celebration of the 50 years of Pilot Basketball this November
Larry Vanderheyden was one of the top guards in early Bethel history and set a school record with 74 assists in ’63-64.
Penn High School graduate, Vanderheyden collected 33 assists in his first 5 games, including 11 in one outing, in ’62-63 his first year at Bethel.
Vanderheyden went into teaching after leaving Bethel and eventually became football coach at Cassopolis High School.
