Men's Basketball Signs Adams Star Landon Booker

Landon Booker, a 5’10” guard from South Bend Adams High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball and academic careers beginning in the 2009-2010 school year at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind.

Booker, a three time All-Conference selection, led the Eagles and the NIC in scoring his senior season as he averaged just over 19 points per game.

The two time Adams High School MVP was named to the Indiana Top 100 list and he participated in the IBCA/IHSAA Basketball Showcase in Indianapolis, Ind.

Booker finished his high school career by scoring 1,021 career points in route to an NIC 1st team All-Conference selection. Booker was also awarded the Burger King Athlete of the Week and Applebee’s Athlete of the Week honors during his senior campaign.

“Landon is a tremendous athlete and great defender,” said Head Basketball Coach Mike Lightfoot. “His strength and quickness will definitely help him excel at the collegiate level. We’re excited for what he can do in a Pilots uniform.”

Booker will look to add to the success of the Pilots program that made it to the NAIA DII Final Four last season and finished with a final ranking of No. 2 in the Top 25 Coaches Poll.
