Leo's Jordan Bowerman Signs With Men's Basketball

Leo High School senior Jordan Bowerman signed a National Letter of Intent today to continue his academic and athletic careers at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Bowerman, a 6’7 forward averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds a game while shooting 61 percent from the field on his way to a First Team All-ACAC selection despite a wrist injury he suffered mid-season. Jordan was the team captain his senior year and was selected to the First Team All Northeast Indiana by the Fort Wayne News Sentinel.

Jordan led northeast Indiana in scoring and rebounding his senior season. He is a five time reader’s choice Player of the Week by the Fort Wayne News Sentinel.

The three time all conference selection was also named to the Indiana Top 60 list and the Nancy Rehm All-Star Team.

“We are thrilled about Jordan and what he can bring to the table,” said Head Coach Mike Lightfoot. “He plays with a high octane of passion and has the ability to post as well as hit the outside shot. He is going to give us everything he has on every play and that type of mentality will only make him better as his career progresses at Bethel.”

Bowerman will join a Pilots program that made it to the NAIA DII Final Four last season and finished with a final ranking of No. 2 in the Top 25 Coaches Poll.
