Team & Individual Results

Bethel College Pilots: 3
St. Joseph's College Players Championship

Game Summary

The Bethel College men‘s golf team shot 307—300—607 to finish in third place in the Player‘s Championship, hosted by St. Joseph‘s College. Three Pilots finished in the top ten individually, led by sophomore Greg Lebold, who finished in 3rd place with rounds of 74—72—146. Jon Enfield‘s 76—74—150 earned him 6th place overall, while freshman Spencer Pannabecker added rounds of 79 and 74 to finish in 10th place.

“Day one was very frustrating for us but I was proud of the way we came back and made a positive step forward on day two,“ said Head Coach Chris Hess. “Our goal for this young team is to improve each time we tee it up and I like the progress we‘re making. Greg Lebold has really been playing some great golf this fall and we are very close to putting four scores together on a given day — when we do, we‘ll be a tough team to deal with. So far it is different people stepping up at different times, we just need have everybody show up at the same time.“

Bethel finished behind champion Lewis University (NCAA DII) and Valparaiso University (NCAA DI). The Pilots next tournament will be September 18—19 at the Robert Morris College Invitational before hosting the Pilot Invitational at Blackthorn on September 25—26.
