Men's Golf Adds Jon Enfield
The Bethel College men’s golf team is proud to announce the addition of Jon Enfield. Enfield, a senior at Elkhart Christian Academy will join the Pilots in the fall, continuing a fine line of recent Elkhart area players including Brant Fowler, Eric Lebold, Matt Dutton, Gavin Wilkinson, Jon Bonfiglio and Justin McCuddy.
Enfield is a two-time MVP for the ECA boy’s golf team as well as an all-conference team member. In the fall he was medalist at the NAC Conference Tournament and the Bethany Christian Invitational. He was named to the 2006 Christian State All-Tournament Team.
He was also the Elkhart Junior Tour medalist in 2007 and was runner-up in the Elkhart Junior City.
“We’re very excited to have Jon join our program,” said Bethel coach Chris Hess. “Jon is a young man that will be an excellent fit in the Bethel family and as a part of our golf team. He has a great passion for the game and I really feel like Jon is on the verge of great things on the golf course. I expect him to be a big part of carrying this team to continued success in the future.”
“I was looking for a college that would help me develop a biblical world view, challenge me in my spiritual walk, and allow me the opportunity to compete in collegiate golf,” said Enfield. “I want to maximize my potential as a golfer by learning how to compete at a higher level and I want to make my teammates better by developing an outstanding work ethic and attitude. I especially want to learn how to go low.”
