Bethel Men's Golf Welcomes Spencer Pannabecker

The Bethel College men’s golf team is proud to announce the signing of Leo High School’s Spencer Pannabecker.  Pannabecker joins a young Pilots squad next year that will be without graduating seniors Eric Lebold and Jon Bonfiglio and will include only three returners in junior Eric Carnacchi and sophomores Jon Enfield and Greg Lebold.

"I am really excited about coming to Bethel College because it is a great school academically and spiritually,” said Spencer. “I am also looking forward to taking my golf game to new levels. Competing on a national level as a team will be a very exciting experience. Along with golf, I know I will deepen my growth spiritually and truly learn to become a follower of Jesus Christ.”

Entering his senior season this spring, Pannabecker is a three year letter winner and a two-time all-conference selection and finished 2nd in last year’s Allen County Conference Tournament. Spencer will devote his time as an athlete at Bethel to golf, after splitting his time at Leo with golf and soccer.

“I am very happy that Spencer has joined the Bethel family,” stated Head Golf Coach Chris Hess. “He is a young man with a tremendous amount of character and possesses the desire and discipline to become successful. I am confident that Spencer will be a great fit for our team and our school and will be a big part of helping us continue to be a highly competitive team on the golf course.  His best days of golf are surely ahead of him but even more importantly, God has a great plan for his life and I am glad that Bethel is the place that God is leading him.”
