Game Summary

The Bethel College men’s soccer team improved to 3-0-1 on the season with the 2-1 win over Illinois Tech on Friday afternoon in Marion, IN.
 
The Pilots got on the board first when Daniel Moyo converted on a penalty kick in the game’s 24th minute. Later in the first half, Bethel added to their lead when Zach Ganzberg knocked in a goal off the assist from Arran Horton at the 36 minute mark. Two minutes later Illinois Tech got their only goal of the match on an own goal.
 
Bethel’s defense was solid in the second half allowing only four shots while goal keeper Cody Troyer needed to make only two saves to help the Pilots to victory.
 
The Pilots will put their record to the test on Saturday when they take on NAIA No. 14 ranked Hannibal-LaGrange College starting at 1:30 pm to conclude the Indiana Wesleyan Tournament.
