Jon Rogers Commits To BC Men's Soccer

Jon RogersMidfielder Jon Rogers of Carroll High School has made a commitment to Bethel College to become a Pilot.

Jon currently plays for Sporting Indiana FC out of Pendleton and hopes to win a state championship with this strong club. Previously, Jon has played with the Fort Wayne Fever. While playing high school soccer for the Carroll Chargers, Jon was the co-team captain and named to the All-District team. He was also named first team-all conference in the Northeast Hoosier Conference and named team MVP in 2007.

Jon is a strong presence on the field at 6’2” and has a very soft touch for a big man. Jon was first identified at the Valparaiso Camp by Bethel Assistant Coach Raymundo Gonzalez. Jon has demonstrated a competitive spirit and excellent vision of the field. Coach Gidman expects him to come in a challenge older players for a spot.

“Jon is a determined competitor who has a very good game instinct” says Gidman.
