Men's Soccer to Host Bellevue University in NAIA National Championship Opening Round

 

The NAIA announced on Sunday that the No. 8 ranked Bethel College men’s soccer team will host an opening round match of the NAIA National Championship on Saturday, November 21 with a start time to be announced.
 
As Mid-Central College Conference Champions, the Pilots clinched an automatic berth to the National Championship with Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Indiana Wesleyan University in the MCC Tournament title game.
 
The Pilots will face off with Bellevue University (Neb.) who received an automatic berth into the National Championship as an unaffiliated tournament champion. The Bruins have a record of 13-3-1 and will be making their second consecutive appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
 
2009 marks the 8th appearance for Bethel College in the NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship. The Pilots have a 2-8-2 overall record in championship play.
 
The winner of next Saturday’s National Championship Opening Round match will advance to the National Championship final site from Nov. 30 - Dec. 5 in Fresno, Calif.
