Men's Tennis Falls at Marian
Game Summary
The Bethel College men’s and women’s tennis teams traveled to Indianapolis on Tuesday afternoon to take on Marian University in an MCC contest. The men lost by the score of 9—0, dropping their season record to 1—8 (0—6 MCC). Meanwhile, the Lady Pilots also fell by the identical 9—0 score, leaving them with a 5—5 season mark (2—5 MCC).
The men’s match began with doubles play where the Knights swept all three matches to jump to an early 3—0 lead. The singles matches were all tight and each could have gone either way. In fact, three of the six matches were decided in tie—breakers. But Marian once again swept all six contests from the Pilots.
The Bethel men and women will return to action on Friday, October 2nd when they will travel to Manchester College for a non—conference tilt. The men begin play at 2:30pm with the women’s action to follow at 4:00pm.
