Seth Zartman begins his sixth year as head coach of the Pilots baseball team and his 10th year coaching overall (167-201).
Zartman's coaching legacy with the Pilots includes:
- 2008 NCCAA Regional Champions
- NCCAA World Series Appearances in 2004, 2005, 2008
- 2006 MCC North Championship
- 2005 & 2007 MCC Tournament Champions
- The 2004 record-breaking season (44-15)
- 4 straight NAIA Regional appearances (2004-07)

Coach Zartman has coached 2 first team NAIA All-Americans, 2 honorable mention NAIA All-Americans, 9 NAIA All-Region players, 3 NCCAA Region Players of the Year, 2 NCCAA National Players of the Year, 9 NCCAA All-Americans, 13 NCCAA All-Region Players, 17 All-Conference Players
Zartman, a native of Fulton, Indiana, earned his undergrad at Bethel on baseball scholarship and was able to fashion a stellar career as a Pilot. He was All-Conference and NCCAA All-American three years in a row (1996-98) and was selected to the NCCAA All Tournament team in 1997. He finished his career as the Bethel all-time leader in home runs (37), RBI (181), doubles (61) and slugging percentage (.625) and was inducted into the Bethel College Athletic Hall of fame in 2006.
Upon graduation, Zartman was named head coach at Mid-Continent College in Mayfield, Kentucky, for four years (1999-2003). He started the baseball program from scratch and directed the construction of the Cougar Baseball Complex. In 2001, Zartman received his M.S. degree from Murray State University.
Coach Zartman has had the opportunity to coach great kids throughout his career. He has seen many individuals graduate from his programs and move onto different careers of their own. "It is a great pleasure of mine to see my players not only graduate, but to also take steps to grown into the man that God wants them to be," says Zartman.
Coach Zartman as seen many professions represented from his players. They have gone on to medical school, apprenticeships, the business world, professional baseball, and the list goes on. To see former players being productive, well rounded citizens makes coach Zartman proud to have the opportunity to be a coach.
"I find it a great privilege to coach baseball at Bethel College," says Zartman. "I get to be a vital part in helping our players be great on the field, but also maturing into men for the game of life. God has blessed me with this opportunity of service, and it is a pleasure watching these young men grow throughout their time in our program."
In addition to his role as the baseball coach, Zartman is responsible for the athletic facilities.
Coach Zartman and his wife, Anitra, live with their daughter Senica and son Ty in Mishawaka.
