Track and Field Program Qualifies 10 Men and 15 Women For NAIA Indoor Nationals

The Bethel College Track and Field program has qualified 10 men and 15 women for NAIA Indoor Track and Field Nationals March 5-7 in Johnson City Tennessee. 
 
The men will be led by two event qualifier JJ Jackson. Jackson has hit the mark in the shot put and the weight throw. Other field event qualifiers include JW Maierle and Trent Chupp in the long jump, Diondre Lewis in the high jump, and Kyle Klein in the pole vault. Also, qualifying for the Pilots are Robby Burns in the 55m hurdles and the 4x800m relay team of Vincent Reel, Scott Robinson, Ryan Starkel, and Drew Bishop. 
 
Qualifying for the Lady Pilots is a pair of relay teams, six field events, and four track events. Nichole Arnold hit the standard in the shot put and weight throw. Caitlyn Gager, Ann O’Keefe, and Danae Ellison qualified in the pole vault, as did Amanda Westcott in the long jump. Samantha Etter hit the mark in the 55m dash as did Irene Kangai in the 600m and Lauren Pridgen and Kaila Stevens in the 400m. The 4x400m relay team of Stevens, Pridgen, Beenne Capre, Jessie Spearman, and Heather Rathbun qualified as did the 4x800m relay team of Kangai, Katie Heisey, Shelby Morrow, and Haliegh Sanders.
 
This is the largest group that the Pilots have qualified in program history.
