Heather Seyfred is ready to play some basketball!  After transferring to Bethel in January and practicing with the Lady Pilots in the spring semester, to say she is anxious would be a major understatement.

Heather was a medical red-shirt her freshmen year (06-07) at Indiana State University and played in six games for the Sycamores this past fall before transferring during Christmas break to Bethel.

She was a standout point guard for four years at Bridgman and was the Michigan Class C - Associated Press Player of the Year as her team went 18-2 during her senior year. For her career, Heather averaged 20.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.6 steals, shot 83% from the free-throw line, and 46.9 from the floor. During her four years, Bridgman's overall record was 78-12 with Seyfred scoring 1,828 points in her career. One of her many highlights was when she scored 40 points in a single game which is still a Bridgman record.

Heather brings an incrdible amount of intensity to the court and her ability to score, handle the ball and defend will be key for the Lady Pilots this season.

"Bring it on! That is the attitude she has towards competition. She wants to play and play a lot. She will be one of our main threats on offense," said Coach Jody Martinez. "Heather had a very successful high school career and I just want Heather to have fun playing basketball again and enjoy her college experience at Bethel," added Martinez.

Heather's reply reflects her character and the attitude of this team - short and to the point..."Bring it on!"
