"We are not rebuilding, we are just reloading," says coach Jody Martinez.  Mandy Yoder certainly will be a big part of the new arsenal of the Bethel squad.

Mandy joins the Lady Pilots after a standout career at Northwood High School and one season at Ferris State University. At Northwood, she finished her high school career with 1,235 points (2nd in school's history). Upon graduation, Mandy finished with the best free-throw percentage at 85.4% and was named to the 1st Team All-Northern Lakes Conference (junior and senior seasons). Mandy was the team's MVP during her junior and senior years and won the Rebound Award during those two years as well. She was invited to Indiana's Top 100 Showcase (twice); invited to the Top 40 All-Star Tryouts; played in the Indiana/Ohio Border Wars All-Star and was named the MVP at the 2007 Sports Fest All-Star Game.

It's easy to look at the numbers and see all that Mandy brings to this team but in fact it is her instictive play and smooth presence on the court that intrigues Coach Martinez and the Lady Pilots staff.  "Smooth! I am so excited that Mandy is now playing for us. She has great court awareness and can play just about anywhere on the court. She is one of the better passers that I have coached and will be an impact player right away," said coach Martinez.

"I think this upcoming season is going to be full of surprises. We have a lot of talented players on our team, each offering something different.  I'm very excited for this season and think we have to potential to win our conference and make it back to nationals," said Mandy.
