Game Summary

The NAIA No. 3 ranked Bethel College women’s golf team won the NAIA Independent Championship in Nashville, Tenn. by 49 strokes on Tuesday afternoon.

Playing at Old Hickory Golf Club, the Pilots shot 317, 304 to dominated the field on their way to the championship.

Overall winner Shanna Page led the way for the Pilots by shooting 144 for two rounds including an impressive 69 on day two. Two other Pilots finished in the top five as Kara Ballinger’s 153 earned her a third place finish and Katie Powell’s 156 was good enough for fifth place overall.

The Pilots now have their eyes set on a National Championship. They will compete towards that goal on May 12 as they head to Rapid City, SD for the NAIA National Championship Tournament.
