Game Summary
The Bethel College women’s golf team won the Manchester College Invite at Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, Ind. with a score of 332. Melanie Day was low medalist with an 81.
The win for Day was her first collegiate win, while the Pilots recorded their 30th win in school history in only five years of competition.
“What a great accomplishment is was to get our 30th team win!” said Head Coach Danny Randolph. “Melanie did great today and played a lot better than her score. It is always great to see a player get her first collegiate win. Katie, Beth and Sarah also finished well after tough starts, especially Sarah, who was one over on the back. I felt Jennifer did great as well finishing second as an individual.”
The Pilots will compete next on Friday and Saturday as they host the Pilots Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Course. The tournament is scheduled for a 1:00 pm shotgun start on both days.
