Women's Soccer Tops Saint Mary's of the Woods
Game Summary
The Bethel College women’s soccer team added another win with their 4-0 defeat over Saint Mary’s of the Woods College on Wednesday afternoon in Terre Haute, Ind.
The game remained scoreless until the last five minutes of the first half when Shelby Faltynski got the scoring started off an assist from Pua Hall. A couple minutes later, Faltynski crossed the ball to Meredith Martin who headed it into the goal to put the Pilots up 2-0 at the half.
The Pilots got back on the board in the second half when Amber Spencer challenged the goalie and chipped the ball over her and into the net. Later, Meredith Martin got another scoring chance as she took advantage of a Pomeroy’s goal kick and volleyed the ball into the top right corner.
The Pilots are now 3-1 on the season and travel to NAIA No. 21 ranked Olivet Nazarene University on Saturday starting at 2:00 pm.
