Women's Soccer Wins Sportsmanship Award
The Bethel College women’s soccer team was honored this week by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Pilots were given the Gold Award for displaying a high level of conduct over the course of the season.
A total of 66 teams met the requirements for the NSCAA Ethics/Sportsmanship Award this year, up 11 percent from 2007. Bethel was the only NAIA recipient of the Gold Award. There were a total of seven gold winners, 43 silver winners (10 of which only had one yellow card), and 16 bronze winners this year.
The award will be given out to recipients at the NSCAA/Adidas College Coaches Awards Reception on Thursday, January 15th.
