Steve Dregits begins his fourth season as an assistant coach for the women’s soccer program.  Dregits, a 2001 graduate of Bethel, has extensive coaching experience at the college, high school, and club levels.

Prior to coming to Bethel, Dregits was the varsity head boy’s soccer coach at Penn High School.  During his tenure (2002-05) at Penn, Dregits coached 26 all-conference performers and one all-state selection.   His 2002 team was NIC Champions.

Since 1998 Dregits has served as club coach and director of coaching for the Jr. Irish Soccer Club.  Dregits led his 16U girl’s team to the Indiana Challenge Cup championship.  During his time with the Jr. Irish 11 players went on to play college soccer.

A native of the Michiana area, Dregits earned his B.A. in sports studies from Bethel in 2001 and his B.A. in physical education from Bethel in 2002.  Dregits is also a teacher in the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation as an elementary school physical education teacher.
