Marian Ends Softball's 35 Game MCC Regular Season Winning Streak
Game Summary
The Bethel College softball team split an MCC doubleheader with Marian College on Saturday afternoon.
Pilots‘ bats came out on fire in game one as they cruised past the Knights in five innings. Brittney Hire picked up the win in the 9—0 decision.
Bethel‘s hot hitting did not carry over into came two as the Pilots only managed three hits. Poor hitting couple with four errors on the defensive end lead to the game two 4—1 defeat.
The loss ends Bethel‘s 35 game MCC regular season winning streak. The Pilots had not lost a game to an MCC opponent since the end of the 2006 season.
The Pilots will look to start a new steak as they take on Spring Arbor University on Tuesday starting at 3:00 pm in Mishawaka.
