Game Summary

The Bethel College volleyball team fell to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in the MCC after dropping a five set match to visiting Spring Arbor University on Wednesday night.

The Pilots fell by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 25-27, and 14-16. Bethel had their chances to win but could not capitalize on three match point opportunities to beat the Cougars.

Michelle Werner had 15 kills and 5 blocks on the night while Emily Henry added 12 kills and 4 blocks. Freshmen Callie Hartman had 12 kills and 17 digs and Sarah Carroll added 24 digs. Ashley Pagel dished out 36 assists while adding 14 digs on the night.

The Pilots will step away from conference play this weekend as they host their annual Alumni Match on Saturday before returning to conference play next Wednesday when they travel to conference leader and NAIA No. 23 ranked Taylor University.
