Volleyball Sweeps Player Of The Week Honors Again
For the second time this season the Bethel College volleyball team has swept the MCC Player of the week honors. Bethel went 5-0 on the week to run their overall record to 26-7.
Two-time NAIA National Player of the Week, Stephanie Harwood, was named the MCC Hitter of the Week for her efforts this past week. Harwood, a senior from Penn High School, had 66 kills on the week for an average of 4.4 kills per game. Harwood also added 55 digs for the week.
Marcia Poliquin, a senior from Gurnee, Ill., was named the MCC’s Libero of the week. This is the third time this season that Poliquin has received the honor. For the week, Poliquin had 82 digs for an average of 5.47 digs per game along with 98 passes. Poliquin’s service percentage was an outstanding 97%.
Ashley Pagel, a junior from Berrien Springs, completed the Pilot sweep as she picked up the award for MCC setter of the week. This marks the second time this season that Pagel has won the award. Pagel had 156 assists on the week for an average of 10.40 assist per game.
The Pilots will put their nine match winning streak on the line Wednesday night when they travel to Goshen College to take on the Maple Leafs in an MCC Contest starting 7:00 pm.
