Volleyball Adds Concord's Callie Hartman For 2009
Concord High School senior Callie Hartman has committed to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Hartman, an outside hitter/middle hitter, from Elkhart, Ind. was named All-conference and a scholar athlete during her senior season. Callie led her club team to the Mid-East Championship as well as a No. 1 ranking at nationals.
Away from the court, Hartman was named Academic All-State. She was awarded the Presidential Scholarship by Concord and was a member of the National Honor Society.
When asked why she chose Bethel, Callie stated, “I wanted to play the game I love in a Christian environment with girls who share my values and spunk.” Callie chose Bethel over Ohio Northern University and Lake Forest College.
Coach Reininga commented, “Callie is a great volleyball player and an outstanding student. Her versatility and work ethic will be a perfect fit for our program. I am very pleased to have such a great student athlete.”
