Karissa is a junior from Hudsonville, OH where she attended Unity Christian High School. While at Unity she was 2 time all-conference and also salutatorian of her class. At Bethel Karissa is majoring in nursing. Karissa's freshman season was a transitional time where she was moved from a setter to a hitter. She hit over .300 and averaged over 1 block per game. Karissa's sophomore season she found herself settling in as a force in the front row. She earned 126 kills and 106 blocks on the season. She chose Bethel College for the awesome nursing program and she wanted to attend a Christian school and play volleyball. She is excited to get started and meet everyone on campus.
