Emily Henry is a 6'1" middle hitter from Brownsburg, IN.  She was a four year varsity letter winner along with earning the total offense award twice.  She was also ranked 22nd in kills per game and 24th in hitting efficiency in the Indianapolis Metro Area.  She has club experience playing for Noblesville Nitro and Indy Juniors.  Henry also excels off the court winning her school's Geography, Math, English and Spanish III awards.  She was also Bethesda valedictorian in 2008.  Emily passed up offers to play at Cedarville University and University of Indianapolis.  Her freshman season at Bethel was a strong one for Emily.  She played in 114 games earning 228 kills along with contributing 106.  Emily was also named to the all tournament team at the Cornerstone University Tournament.  "I chose Bethel College because it held the spark that I had been looking for in a school," stated Henry.  "Bethel has strong academics and a great volleyball program.  But more than all that, I chose Bethel because of the people I have met every time I've been on campus.  They genuinely love Jesus and care about one another and I want to be part of that.  I am looking forward to playing under the leadership of Coach Reininga.  I've never played for a coach like her and I'm looking forward to playing with teammates that are very talented and have a great time playing volleyball together.  I'm excited to learn to play at their fast pace."
