Stone Soup Community,

a community-wide, social service agency seeks volunteers willing to invest their time and talents in serving the underserved population of our community. To be a one to one counselor/mentor the basic qualifications are being non-judgemental, a good listener and willing to work to solve crisis issues. Also available are positions not directly related to clients but support the day to day business of running a social service agency. If you have compassion for the less-fortunate and a willingness to invest your special gifts helping to redirect their lives, we invite you to call for additional information.

Tutor needed for a 1st grade student.

Tutor Needed:

11 year old boy in the 5th grade needs help in all subjects.  He would need help once a week at his school.  For more information contact Vera Martin at 236.5302.

Interested in helping out in an art program for the disabled?

We have over 100 adults with disabilities that participate in our not-for-profit program. We provide art classes and have receptions for them.  We will be having an art show "One For All" on February 24th (Saturday) at Barnes and Noble Bookstore from 11-7 p.m. with a reception from 5-7 p.m.  Everyone's welcome!  Hope to see you there. 

Upcoming Prevent Child Abuse

Volunteers Needed: There is an upcoming Prevent Child Abuse auction on March 10th at St. Mary’s.  Volunteers are needed to make sure things run smoothly.  Volunteers would need to be available that day from 6-10 pm.  For more information contact Vera Martin 236.5302.
