Kingdom Mobilizers exists to increase missions’ awareness on the Bethel campus. An average of 35 students, interested in missions, meet together every Thursday night from 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm in the Shiloh Prayer Chapel. They meet to “fan the flame of passion for global evangelism” in each others’ hearts. Kingdom Mobilizers is open to every one on the Bethel campus. We worship together “because when missions ends, worship of the true and living God will go on forever”. We pray for the nations. Jesus said, “My house will be a house of prayer for all the nations.” We sharpen one another’s understanding of the opportunities, challenges and requirements for missionary service.
Activities include: cross-cultural role playing experiences, special missionary speakers, concerts of prayer, video clips on mission issues, special teaching on mission related topics (such as spiritual warfare, decision making and the will of God, etc.) and preparing for and participating in the World Christian Action Conference – Bethel’s annual mission’s conference which is held every mid-January.
Each year, we have a Kingdom Mobilizers’ weekend retreat at Bethel College’s Dewart Lake Retreat Center. Last year, 35 students were involved in the weekend activities, including worship, time alone with God, fun and game activities, and just a “whole bunch” of bonding and getting to know one another.
