Summer Internships

Bethel's “International Studies” major has grown rapidly over the last several years. Each of these students is required to have a quality short-term, cross-cultural internship experience. Also, certain students and graduates who are interested in “mission mobilization” within the local church desire a “hands-on” internship in that type of ministry.

Because of this, Bethel's Missionaries-in-Residence (Bill and Debbie Jones) have developed “Summer International Internships” on World Partners USA fields, and “Mission Mobilization Internships” at Bethel College.

Summer Cluster Internship Program 2010

"Great Opportunity for summer ministry experience!"

SCIP (Summer Cluster Internship Program) is gearing up to place interested students for the summer of 2010 in wonderful churches for excellent ministry experience and personal growth. Several sites include Port Huron, Michigan, San Antonio, Texas, and Hawaii.

Internships in youth and children's ministry and general pastoral work are available. You can raise support for the summer as well as receive a generous scholarship for the 2010-11 school year.

This opportunity is open to all students (not just ministry students) with a heart to serve others and grow. Applications can be picked up in the Religion and Philosophy office (Administration 314). The application deadline is the end of January.

See Dr. John Dendiu (574.807.2675; AC 134) for more details.

Funds can be raised from churches and individuals giving thru World Partners. This includes airfare, insurance, lodging, meals, in-country transportation, and the May “orientation” tuition, meals, lodging, and materials

Three hours of “Internship” credit are possible at Summer Term prices. An additional three hours of “Area Study” credit are also possible at Summer Term prices.
