Summer Internships

2014 WORLD PARTNERS - SUMMER INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIPS

The following internships require pre-field orientation at Bethel College which is held during the spring semester and/or May 5-9. Students are also required to spend a minimum of three weeks on the field. While serving in an internship, students are able to earn between 3-6 academic internship credits and an additional 3 hours of Area Study. Funds can be raised from churches and individuals giving through World Partners for airfare, insurance, lodging, meals, in-country transportation, and orientation.

Six Week Internship

During the summer of 2014, Dr. Wayne Allen, World Partners missionary, will be leading a small team of Bethel College interns to Medan, Indonesia.  In addition to completing ministry internship requirements and earning three or more credits, this program offers the following opportunities:

·     Catch the vision for the Great Commission and experience firsthand how teaching English can open spiritual doors

·     Provide training by example of methods for witnessing to people of other faiths 

·     Bless the Sumatran Christian community by helping them learn English

·     Gain experience and confidence in TESOL and cross-cultural work.

·     Establish trust relationships between the Christian community in North Sumatra, World Partners, and Bethel College.

·     Build relationships and memories with local people

·     Experience God through the lens of another culture

 The cost for a six-week internship is approximately $3,300.  These non-academic costs can be raised via tax-deductible donations through World Partners. Academic (tuition) costs are additional, will vary according to number of credits earned, and cannot be paid with donations. Mongolia

Mongolian ESL Internship

Are you looking for an opportunity to earn credits while exploring the world and helping others? 

 Consider the Mongolian ESL Internship:

·     Complete training and orientation at Bethel College with Bill Jones, World Partners Liaison

·     Attend two week survival language training in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

·     Live for 1 or 2 semesters in Bayankhongor, Mongolia, teaching English as a Second Language

·     Earn 3-12 possible hours of academic credit through Bethel College

·     Teach business English and conversational English to Mongolians

·     Learn about the Mongolian people, culture, and history

·     Explore the life of a career missionary by networking and partnering with Jeff and Shauna Spence, World Partners staff working in Mongolia

·     Meet and work with the local church in Mongolia

·     Build relationships and memories with local people

·     Experience God through the lens of another culture

The cost for the internship is approximately $4,200 for one semester or $6,500 for two.  These non-academic costs can be raised via tax-deductible donations through World Partners.  Academic (tuition) costs are additional, vary according to number of credits earned, and cannot be paid with donations.
