Residence Life
The Lodge
Description:
Bethel’s newest dorm, affectionately nicknamed “The Lodge,” opened its doors to students in December 2008. The Lodge houses 94 upperclassmen female students in three floors of spacious 4-person suites. Each suite boasts two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchenette with built-in cupboards, sink, and refrigerator, all in a variety of floorplans. Additionally, one suite per floor houses 6 students in three bedrooms and two bathrooms; these suites are reserved for Resident Assistants and their roommates. A handicap accessible suite is also available. Each suite is individually climate controlled with both heat and A/C. For those who enjoy cooking, a stove is available on each floor, with a full community kitchen on the first floor.
The open set-up of the Lodge encourages community, providing space for groups large and small to gather. Amenities include comfortably furnished lounges, three large flat screen TVs and DVD players, a three-story common room with gas fireplace, a conference room, enclosed study rooms, laundry facilities, elevator, and wireless internet; capabilities exist for both wired internet and cable TV. Swipe access at the main entrance and upper floors provide enhanced security.
