- Position: Sophomore Class Secretary
- Hometown: Corry, Pennsylvania
- Year in College: Second Year (Sophomore)
- Major/Minor: American Sign Language Interpreting
- Why are you part of Bethel College Student Council?
- Honestly, I am part of Student Council because no one else had applied for the position last year. It was past the deadline for the application, but I was asked by a member of the freshman council to consider the position as secretary. I thought long and hard and decided that it might be something I'd like to do...and the fact that I did not have to run against anyone else was just an added bonus!
- As an active member of the council, what would you like to do with your position to impact the Bethel community?
- That's just it; I would love to see a Bethel Community. I seek to encourage the students of Bethel to be intentional with their relationships - get to know the adult student that arrives late for your 2:00 pm class, get to know the sweet ladies that clean the restrooms in the Academic Center, and get to know the friends that you spend day in and day out with. Only by being intentional with relationships can we truly have a Bethel Community.
- What do you want the Bethel community to know about Bethel College Student Council?
- We truly are here for you. We are not some elite group that only has our own interest in mind. We are the voice for the students - all students - and we want so much to hear what you would like to see done on campus.
Jacob Mangum

- Why are you part of Bethel College Student Council?
- I am part of Student Council because I want to make a difference on a larger scale. Student council allows me to stay on top of all that is happening and how I can serve my fellow students.
- As an active member of the council, what would you like to do with your position to impact the Bethel community?
- I really want to see students transformed by God. We are not here on this earth for ourselves but we are here to bring glory to God by telling others about Him. I am slowly learning how I can use my position to do that.
- What do you want the Bethel community to know about Bethel College Student Council?
- We just want to help. We are here to serve. Let us know what you need and want.
