7 Ways to Multiply Your Impact

7 ways you can multiply Bethel's influence in its 70th year

Pray for students, faculty and staff

Be in prayer for our students, faculty, staff and administration. Join us on campus or online for Chapel (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at 10 a.m.).

Understand the importance of giving

We understand that not all alumni are able to give large financial gifts to Bethel. But your $5 or $10 or $20 is multiplied when foundations and major donors see your “participation gift” as a vote of confidence in Bethel. A high rate of alumni giving sends the message to high-level donors that Bethel is a place worthy of their investment.

The percentage of alumni giving is also a reporting requirement for some organizations who rank colleges and universities (for example, U.S. News and World Report) and for some funding proposals. Your annual gift, no matter the size, helps Bethel obtain large gifts from other sources and increases our college rankings.

Read some Stories of Promise and learn about how your participation and dollars make a difference for students through the Annual Fund.

Refer a student or donor

Chances are you know a student who would benefit from a Christ-centered liberal arts education at Bethel. Maybe it’s your son or daughter, niece or nephew, grandchild, neighbor or someone you know from church. Show them the way to a life-changing experience.

Or maybe within your circle of influence you know someone who regularly gives to various causes, and you think they might consider Bethel as a place worthy of their investment. We would love to connect with them and tell them about the great things happening on our campus. Our Interm Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Steve Matteson, can talk with you about the process of how we begin those conversations, and determine some next steps for introducing them to Bethel.

Plan to attend an event on campus

Whether it is an art gallery opening, a soccer game, a student recital, or any number of other athletic, fine arts or student events on campus, your attendance supports and celebrates the hard work of our students, faculty and staff. Visit the Campus Event Calendar and plan to join us on campus.

We also hope you’ll join us in October for the alumni dinner, and one or more of the many other alumni events taking place this year. Your involvement strengthens our alumni network and encourages others to connect with what is happening on campus.

Offer to serve our community

Consider serving on the Alumni Board or contact us to learn how you can help out at one of our any events. We always need volunteers for the many events held on campus, too! Contact your favorite campus group or department and see how you can get involved.
