Alumni Enewsletter: September 2013

Justine Lightfoot

Dear Alumni,

The campus is buzzing as students are a month into the 2013-2014 school year! Thank you to all the alumni who assisted in welcoming the 330 new students and their families during new student move-in day.

I am excited to introduce two new avenues in which alumni can stay connected and be served by the college. First, the career services office has developed a new job board that is geared toward assisting students and alumni needing to find employment or internships. Alumni can interact with the job board in two ways: 1) To look for available job opportunities in your specific career field and 2) To post an internship or job opening within your organization for the benefit of current students and alumni.

Second, the alumni office is eager to introduce the new alumni travel program. It offers tourist-based or task force-focused trips that will provide you a chance to reconnect and serve with old classmates as well as develop new Bethel friends. In 2014, there will be four trip options available to all Bethel alumni and friends:  Israel, Dominican Republic, Washington D.C. and Mexico.

Be sure to stay involved and connected with your alma mater! Hope to see you Nov. 8-10, 2013, at alumni weekend featuring the presidential inauguration. During this time, the Katherine J. Gribbin Learning Commons will also be dedicated!
